Local Steel Horse volunteer donates bike

Local Steel Horse volunteer donates bike

Did we mention how awesome our Steel Horse volunteers are?

Mr. Ed Haynes, a regular Steel Horse volunteer, sent us an email today as follows;

“I have always been a big fan of The American Motorcycle Association and the work they do for all bikers. My 1991 Gold Wing is a milestone Honda that was called the Anniversary Edition, it was to commemorate Honda having built Gold Wings in the US for ten years. That is why it had the special color and other features.

I dearly loved that ol’ bike but I ask AMA if they would like to include it in their “permanent collection”.  They said Yes, so a few days ago I loaded her in the truck and drove to Pickerington, Ohio and donated her.

Honestly I did not anticipate how much I would miss her, We had  traveled 110,000 trouble free miles together and I was crazy about that ol’ bike. However I still have my Valkyrie.

Regards

Ed L Haynes

We applaud you Mr. Haynes! That’s another example of the “Spirit of the Rally”
