The Steel Horse Rally Unsung Hero Committee is accepting applications exclusively online from July 20th, 2026 until the deadline of March 31st, 2027 a 5 p.m. for the 2027 Steel Horse Rally Unsung Hero. (And applications received after the March 31st, 2027 deadline will be an application for the 2028 Steel Horse Rally Unsung Hero.) The recipient of this honor can be current serving in the military, a veteran, in law enforcement or a first responder. Recipients must be at least 18 years of old or older, and the award can be presented posthumously if the nominee has died.
